INTRODUCTION
When I was actively engaged with the SSOA I was highly impressed when I read that many changed for Mila when she 'started to open up to the dreamtime planes'. From puberty onwards there have been periods in which I spent more time trying to get more out of these periods these dreamtime periods during the night. Advantages of the exploration of dreamtime are that they offer all kinds of possibilities to let your consciousness enter the realms of the unconscious. As such they provide a wonderful opportunity to expand your normal daily level of awareness.

Last week I started to train my mind in remembering dreams better. In the past I worked with notebooks which I placed next to my bed and immediately after waking up from a dream I would put on the light and start scribbling notes on the paper. Often these periods didn't last much longer than a couple of weeks because of two main reasons: first, it started to affect the hours of sleep I had and second, I hardly did anything with all the information that I had jotted down.

CREATING VISUAL DREAM TAGS
My 'favorite nights of awareness' are characterized by waking up after every single dream. It has proven to be quite simple to intend before going to sleep to want to wake up after every dream. I want to have - not more than a minute - to allow the dream contents to enter into my waking consciousness. As soon as that is done I want to turn around and continue sleeping. This often goes quite well.

Even though I would retain a number of dreams into the morning, I would lose a lot of them when I work with this method (without writing anything down of course). During the last couple of weeks I have started to experiment with a new method that is based on the 'wake up after every dream'-idea. What I have found to be very useful is to consciously make a kind of 'dream snap shot' or provide a visual dream tag which is characteristic of the dream. As soon as I have made this 'internal picture' I focus on that image and I return to sleep.

I have noticed that it is far easier to actually remember the dream, even after a number of days. You only have to tune into the image and somehow much of the emotions and contents of the dream attach to it which allows you to re-experience much of the dream.

USING VISUAL DREAM TAGS
The fact that a dream is brought down to one image allows your mind to play with it more easily. For instance you are far more likely to make associations with these 'visual dream tags' during your daily walk through life. I consider that an enrichment.

Another thing that I am experimenting with is that you can use the tags during your meditations. As I have been moving towards more heart consciousness I have tried to visualize putting the 'dream tag' next to my heart center. Sometimes this stirred all kinds of emotions which could later be translated and understood by my mind.

Another advantage of creating visual dream tags is that you can use them in interactions with people: you can use them to start a personal interchange with others. It is also nice to use these tags because there is hardly anything that is more personal than your own dream contents. You have something else to talk about than just the news, sports or whatever is happening to the people around you.

Perhaps you could even try to combine certain visual dream tags: visualize them coming together and see what happens.

There is also something like it feels more 'spiritual' and 'evolved' when I am able to tune into the dreamtime planes and use whatever is happening within these regions.

RECOGNIZING DREAMTIME DISTORTIONS
Some people tend to believe that dreamtime is a wonderful spiritual realm filled with meaning. When becoming more aware of what is happening during the nights it could be that I might discover that many dreams are just ways to 'trap' my mind during the night. If I become more sensitive I might learn to distinguish between true meaningful dreams and 'dream traps'.

The more consciousness I add to the dreamtime planes the more I will be able to influence what is going on. Perhaps I can decide during a 'dream trap' to simply step out of them because it doesn't do much good. These dreams simply drain energy and that is not something that I would like to invest in. Instead I would like to train myself to tune into 'classes' with a higher vibration which give me the chance to alter various levels of harmful thoughtform.
