INTRODUCTION
In January 2009 I received an email from Ophelia who shared with me her experiences with St Germain. She also mentioned the ability to help others by laying your hands on somebody else. She questions the necessity of being initiated in order to be able to heal others with your hands. Enjoy excerpts from her letter. This was all in response to the article on Reiki, Shambhala and Ascension.
OPHELIA's LETTER - JANUARY 2009
"Now - Reiki and Shambhala. Ah it's all again the subjects that I in a way decided to detach myself from. I had my own strange experiences with St Germain. I was to an extent at some point in time very fascinated with St Germain and his teachings and the whole I AM bundle of energy. I think at that stage it appealed to me because he called upon the Christ energy and there was a lot about Jesus in the book I read (The Golden Book - that's my free translation) and then still I was Ok with the being a Christian and going to Church etc etc. I had a few a few strange visions with St Germain in them, communicating and talking with me.
After analyzing them with the help of one of the people in SSOA (which was sth I paid for) we came to a decision that it was maybe not the best for me to continue contacting St Germain and I also felt much better off without it. The thing is that these contacts appeared just at the time when I opened up to any sort of contact to the invisible, when I started giving credit to the voices that I heard inside and was learning how to have a dialogue with them and obtain info from them....
Anyhow, the contact sprouted upon my trials with the Purple Flame meditation that was initiated by St Germain. As I read ur article and the links that u provided again just like u mentioned u felt, I had that "tightening" feeling inside when I came across how they refered to the Ascended Masters (which I have crossed out completely) and also the Merkaba thing....
On the other hand Reiki itself has been of great interest to me because it uses the hands. My hands have always been my sensitive area. When I was a child - even very small i would put my hands on my grandmother's knees because I knew they hurt. My hands have always emitted great amouns of heat/energy, sometimes hard for me to contain, I often feel a "drilling" sensation in the centre of my palms. The tend to also produce a lot of moisture when they heat up - as in sweating, but they have supposedly helped many people in different situations when I "applied" them to places on someones body.
So the "art" of applying the hands to help is close to me. I have though never been initiated in Reiki. Again I was struck by the fact that the initiation (as of definition) has to be done by someone, and this someone shall in some ways pass on to me (thru the act of initiating) not only the initiation itself but much more that comes with this person - maybe even his/her "negativities".
Plus the concept of a guru has always been a problem for me (I think I have mentioned that problem before). On the other hand the concept of a teacher has always attracted me, I always wanted to have a teacher that would maybe serve as a "softener", a catalyser, somebody that would say specific things, cast a light on an issue that I'm stuck with, kind of help see things differently.
Then again it's so easy to get hooked on such a relationship, to get addicted, same goes for listening the voices one hears inside ones head. It's so hard to find that golden centre where we feel or know that the decisions we make are still ours and not the product of sth that has shaped them and influenced them. Ah it's so difficult sometimes.
Going back to the Reiki and Shambhala and the initiations - why use all the intiations crap? why not be able to just naturally apply ones hands and go according to what one feels? why have to use the symbols that someone else created (I don't mean to offend the prehistoric wisdom coming from Tibet, nor the LoL symbols) - but maybe one set of symbols can't always work well for every person.
Maybe it would be better to tailor the symbols that one uses, to create ones own set - maybe inspired by the existing ones, but more personalized, more in tune with ones level of energy, harmlessness, knowledge, body vibration, ones life etc etc That's actually sth that I mean to focus on now, find my own "Language of Light Reiki" [;-)].
That is actully something that has struck me just now. On top of that.... of course the intentions of harmlessness, of self forgiveness and self honesty (Desteni influences - I still have a very soft spot for them....) - just breath in and breath out and be conscious of every moment and every thought - what a challenge - quite overwhelming...."
