In March 2008 Larry wrote me with the request to forward a message to Ophelia as a response to the article Is Biological Ascension and Example of Reality Inflation?.
I thought Larry's thoughts might be useful for other people as well, so here's Larry's letter:
AFFIRMATIONS
Questions can help you find what resonates for you that others know or are teaching. I understand the frustration of "where is the truth?" or "is this all a mean joke?" and I can tell you that the way to find the truth for yourself is to have experiences.
The difficulty is that your have preprogramed yourself to avoid those very experiences. So in the mean time instead of doing the affirmations thang blindly perhaps you could study how the people are making affirmations around you all the time and getting exactly what they demand.
An example is a person that claims they can not do something. Watch and see if their affirmation works. How about the affirmation I ain't smart enough to do that or i am sooo stupid. Maybe the I never win anything or nothing works out for me affirmation. About now you may notice you have been watching friends and family demonstrate the use of affirmations that produce unhappy results all of your life.
Recognise that affirmations or creative statements have been creating your daily life from your birth and that struggling with people that suggest you find better ideas than I have mentioned might not be in your best interest.
Figuring out what you want to create in your daily life might be fun and creating affirmations that please you might be a suggestion you could get behind? Do you see now that your attitude about affirmations has kept you from seeing the value of that tool of ascension? Hence my comments about about being pre programed.
REAL EXPERIENCES OR NOT?
You question if your experiences are "real" or not. Please refer to affirmations as creations instead. Then think of yourself as living in a "matrix" you program with your affirmations/creations for your daily life. Your ability to create then allows you to experience any event as strongly as you are willing to experience that event. Nothing is real, it is all you manipulating the matrix.
You may not understand as of yet that this has been happening since birth so you question why bother with positive affirmations/creations instead of the ones you have made all your life. These people that promote these affirmations are trying to help you to change the preprograms you have been creating your life with and help you move into a new consciousness and a new life. Can it be done differently? Well yes it can.
Those other realms can be perceived which is why there is a part of buddhism that talks about what the buddha is holding in his third and fourth hands. That you have been blocked by your own preprogramming prevents you from experiencing those realms. You can have an aura picture taken which may not be very scientific yet will show you that you are more than a body.
Your over all attitude about the repetitive techniques to change your programing could probably prevent you from having any success at actually learning how to see an aura. Perhaps if you become interested in reaching the ability to see auras or the other realms then your struggle with the techniques that are used to teach will calm down.
MERKABA Merkaba seems mostly a intellectual process. Ascension is a process done by the spirit of a person. Most of the Eastern Religions techniques are designed to shut the intellect off and allow spirit to take over. If you're interested in merkaba then understand it does not seem to fit into the general flow of ascension teachings since it is more a intellectual process. Good Luck with your search.
