Backgrounds of this site
A short history:
End 1999 and beginning 2000, Maryanne and Melvin were sending many e-mails to
their friends and acquintances e-mails with interesting information, mostly about
conspiracies and cover-ups. One of their friends, Rinus, thought that it would be
a waste if all this information would be forgotten and created this website, putting
the best of their links and articles on it. In June 2000, the site was presented to a
wider audience. Then, Leon too, started to send some information to be shown to
the public.When Maryanne and Melvin went abroad, the contacts with them became sparse,
and the stream of information once flowing from them dried up. So, Rinus and
Leon became the only maintainers of the site. Since their primal interests were
more in the field of ufology, alternative science, anomalies and spirituality, the
focus of 'Quest for Wisdom' turned more in that direction.
In the beginning, Leon e-mailed Rinus with proposed changes, but this turned out
to be a cumbersome process, and there was the possibility of misunderstandings,
which sometimes occured. Therefore, Leon had to learn how to create a website
himself, so that he himself can do the mutations he would like to make.In the middle of 2001, we decided to split the site Quest for Wisdom into two,
almost identical mirrorsites. In doing so, we became free to do whatever we want,
without having to wait for the opinion and the approval of the other one. On top
of this, we also hope to reach a wider audience.
Latest change: (27-6-2002)
After a period of silence because of health and other personal reasons, we are
now working actively on the sites again. We abandoned the idea of having two
almost identical mirrorsites. Quest for Wisdom continues to be a page with
mainly links, and 'The Other Pages' - pages about various subjects. Other realities/
Ufoscope is now used for presenting video clips.
Leon is maitaining the 'Quest for Wisdom' pages, and Rinus the 'Other realities/
Ufoscope' part. But basically it is one site. We hope that the two different
approaches are complementing eachother well!End of change
What are we presenting and why? Our points of view.
We have ambitions to present even more information, that we consider to be
interesting and important, but we are not out for personal glory, or pretend to
be able to change the world. So, we're not interested to convert you, neither to a
political, or to a religious point of view.One might ask: who do you think you are, that you can decide which information
and websites are important enough to promote, and what not? This is a question
which is haunting us from the beginning. Well, all we can say is that for many years
we are interested in the subjects that we are presenting on the Main Page, and at this
moment in time (august 2001) our website exists for more than a year, so what were
presenting isn't the product of a spontaneous impulse. In fact, in order to claim an
expert opinion on all the subjects that are dealt with in our recommended sites, one
has to have a Masters degree in dozens of sciences, which we, of course, don't have.So, of course, our choice is a pretty subjective matter. But since we want to be more
that just a search engine, which will presents you with so much information that you
will drown in it, and have to work your way through second, third or even lower
class sites and inactive ones, before you'll reaching the ones your looking for. Yes,
our choice is subjective, but we think it is better than no choice. And if you're not

Moreover, you have the choice between Rinus' OTHER REALITIES and Leon's
QUEST FOR WISDOM, as is already stated above.As stated in the disclaimer: we don't necessarily share the points of view expressed
in the various websites. That would not possible, for the simple reason that the sites
themselves don't agree with eachother (and some of the sites we present just as a
curiosity). Since we think it is good to be informed about all the different points of
view, we are not concerned about this.This is specially true when we are dealing with the conspiracies and cover ups. For
some reason, sometimes the freemasons, rosicrucians, and formerly the Jews, got
the blame. Since we like to present reality from both sides, we have also links to
their websites. In fact, we consider discrimination and especially antisemitism very
abject, and therefore we're adressing this subject more extensively in another section
of this website: THE BLACK PAGES.In fact, thinking about conspiracies, we mostly think in terms of conspiracies of the
mind: that people are reluctant to differ from their neighbours and are thoughtlessly
copying their opinions. Confirmed witchhunters, however, we advise to study the
websites of the ones that they want to pursuit. Not only one should know who and
what you are condemning, but more often than not, the witches and demons one is
after, turn out to be ill-understood friends in disguise.Moreover, if a massive conspiracy would be going on, and the world would be infested
with cover ups, we think it is more productive to present the conspirators a gracious
way out than launching a hate campaign, forcing the other party to strike back in order
